Bio
Dr. Jacob Rivers joined USC Union as Adjunct Instructor of English in 2018.  He holds the PhD in English from the University of South Carolina (Twentieth-Century American and Southern Literature).
 
Teaching
Dr. Rivers regularly teaches online classes in English 101-Critical Reading and Comprehension and English 102-Rehtoric and Composition.
 
Research
Dr. Rivers’ research focuses on the role of hunting in Southern Literature as a vehicle for evolving Southern attitudes toward ethical environmental perception and on the human-canine relationship as portrayed in poetry and fiction.
