Alannah is investing DNA double-strand break repair in mammalian cells and how it is affected by the process of aging. Alannah is specifically analyzing DNA repair events in mammalian cells that express progerin, a protein expressed in patients with Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome (HGPS).
