The annual Carolina Hero Award is given to a faculty, staff, or student who spoke up, stood up, took action and made a difference for the campus and its community. We are pleased to announce that this year's recipient is one of our Ph.D. students, Jon Gist. Jon was nominated by his peers for standing up and making a difference in the university community. Jon will be given the award on March 29th at the Hero Awards Ceremony.
