Dr. Tia Andersen received the Dr. Mary Baskin Waters Service Learning Award from the UofSC Women's and Gender Studies program. This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to excellence in service-learning and are recognized for their leadership in academic service-learning coursework and their commitment to the local community. Dr. Andersen was recognized for her work directing the Adolescent Mentoring Program, which trains and places UofSC students in mentoring relationships with teens in the Greater Columbia community.
