Assistant Professor Hunter Boehme has been recognized with the 2025 Outstanding Citizen Award from the Columbia Police Department for his outstanding support and contributions to the department’s mission.

The award highlights Boehme’s commitment to community engagement and public safety, reflecting the meaningful connections between the University of South Carolina and the Columbia community.

He was presented the award by Columbia Police Chief Holbrook during a recent ceremony honoring individuals who have made a positive impact through service and collaboration.
