Heather Smith has been accepted in the Mathematics Research Communities program, specifically under the conference theme of Network Science. The scientific program will fully occupy the days of Wednesday, June 25 to Sunday, June 29. This program has been developed by the AMS to help guide young researchers as they begin their careers by forming working relationships, and will provide mentoring and discussion networks that involve interactions with senior researchers as well as your peers. In addition to the various aspects of her research, broader subjects will be covered, such as applying for jobs, publishing, and grant writing. The National Science Foundation has generously agreed to fund this project.
