Stephen Smith, a graduate student in mathematics at UofSC, has been selected for a National Science Foundation-sponsored 10-week summer Mathematical Sciences Graduate Internship (MSGI) with the National Institute of Standards and Technology. His work will concentrate on algorithmic problems related to quantum computing.
