Identifying and Responding to Child Victims and Children at High Risk for Sex Trafficking in South Carolina

The purpose  of this project was to provide law enforcement officers with knowledge and tools to identify and respond to child victims and children at high risk for sex trafficking. Activities of the project included collecting and analyzing local data, developing tools, convening a law enforcement workgroup to recommend practices, and conducting training for law enforcement officers.

  • Identifying Child Sex Trafficking in South Carolina

    This self-paced online training, designed with input from local law enforcement officers, focuses on identifying child sex trafficking in South Carolina. This training will provide a basic overview of the South Carolina child sex trafficking law, prevalence of child sex trafficking, risk factors and red flags of child sex trafficking, and resources to assist with your response to child sex trafficking. There is no charge for this training; 0.75 hour of continuing education credit has been approved by the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy for law enforcement officers.)
