Dance Auditions

Open House Auditions for the University of South Carolina Dance Program are usually held in November and February of each academic year. Auditions, which are scheduled around a weekend, are designed to give prospective students an opportunity to experience the program and meet current majors.

Make your audition part of an arts-filled weekend.

Our audition weekends are often held during the run of a performance. If you're interested in seeing the USC Dance Company perform, we will hold up to three complimentary tickets, available for pick up at the “will call” desk at the Koger Center for the Arts or at the ticket window in Drayton Hall Theatre. If your party is larger than three, we will gladly pull additional tickets for you to purchase when picking up your complimentary tickets. You have the same opportunity if there is a performance on Saturday evening. Please include your preferences when completing your Audition Response Form.

About Your Audition

All applicants planning to pursue a bachelor of arts in dance must audition. Students planning to enhance another degree with a minor in dance are not required to audition. If your emphasis is contemporary, you will participate in the ballet audition as well.
