Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., has been invited by USC to join the campus as the 10th National Pan-Hellenic Conference sorority. Colonization will occur in the fall of 2004.
Gamma Phi Beta is excited about the opportunity for growth at the University of South Carolina," said Jana Nobles, the sorority's director of collegiate extension. "This is a great University and we are eager to become a part of its community."
In addition to Gamma Phi Beta international assistance, the new colony will have the local support of the Columbia alumnae chapter. The sorority will have an extension recruitment, headed by Nobles, creating an entirely new chapter.
Gamma Phi Betas International Headquarters are in Centennial, Colo., a suburb of Denver. Founded in 1874 in Syracuse, N.Y., the sororitys mission is to foster a nurturing environment that provides women the opportunity to achieve their potential through life-long commitment to intellectual growth, individual worth, and service to humanity.
