Community Engaged Campus Experience for Youth (CECEY)

The CECEY program welcomes students from local elementary schools to the University of South Carolina to experience being on a college campus.

Sharing higher education with growing minds.

During the 2021-2022 academic year, local elementary school students will not visit USC as CECEY participants. If this changes, the Leadership and Service Center staff will update this webpage with information about campus tour volunteer opportunities.

Community Engaged Campus Experience for Youth welcomes fourth and fifth grade students from local Title I elementary schools to the University of South Carolina for a college campus experience. The campus experience is designed to introduce visiting elementary school students to college life and to increase their interest in pursuing higher education.

Student volunteers can expect to spend about 1-3 hours volunteering by facilitating a tour and having lunch with students. The day ends with a presentation by a student organization or USC representative.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
