The Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson Medical Research Foundation (AMRF) is dedicated to eliminating disease by revolutionizing how medical research is resourced and conducted. Dr. Jeff Twiss, Professor in our Department, and his collaborator Dr. Norma Frizzell, Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, Physiology & Neuroscience at the  School of Medicine, have been awarded a $1,189,286 grant over 3 years to conduct research aimed at "Targeting Axon Intrinsic Pathways to Accelerate Regeneration and Promote Neuroprotection".
