Education: B.A. with Distinction, History (Southern Studies Minor), University of South Carolina

Bio:  Zoie Horecny earned a M.A. in Public History in 2021 and a B.A. in History with Distinction and a minor in Southern Studies in 2018 from the University of South Carolina. She is a PhD Candidate under the advisement of Dr. Mark Smith. Horecny has academic interests in the South during the Early Republic, Atlantic History, and the history of slavery. She had internships with the South Carolina State Museum, the South Carolina Department of Education, and the Pinckney Papers Projects. She is currently a social media manager for Nursing Clio. She also enjoys spending time with her dog Buoy.
