Hanne van der Iest has been named co-PI on a $275,000 South Carolina Film Commission Grant. The SCFC grant funds the 2025 Get On Set Initiative, which brings USC students and Faculty to a professional film set, thereby bridging the gap between academia and the film industry.

Instructor van der Iest has also been named co-PI on a $42,500 McCausland Visiting Scholar grant. She will be producing feature film SUPERVOID  this summer along with, Theatre and Dance colleague, Dustin Whitehead.
