South Carolina Law ranked in ATL top 50

The University of South Carolina School of Law was named as one of the top 50 law schools by Above the Law, a legal industry publication, in its 2021 Top Law Schools rankings. The ranking focuses on what ATL says is most important to law students: obtaining quality employment at a reasonable cost and alumni satisfaction.

Limited to only 50 schools, the publication says its rankings identify “national” schools that offer “quality employment prospects both outside of their particular region and/or for graduates who don’t graduate at the top of their class.”

South Carolina Law placed 45th among all law schools and 23rd among public schools in the annual rankings.

“We are delighted to be recognized as one of the top law schools in the country for its employment outcomes and alumni satisfaction. Our faculty does a fantastic job of preparing our students for meaningful careers in the profession,” says William C. Hubbard, dean of the School of Law. “In turn, we give credit as well to the Class of 2020, whose hard work and tireless dedication, especially in the face of the pandemic, have helped make this recognition possible.”
