Dr. Mahatha joined the USC School of Law in December 2022. Prior to that time, he served for fourteen years at Central Piedmont Community College in various roles including Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Director. He has extensive experience in developing and implementing programs and initiatives centered on diversity, equity, inclusion, and leadership.

Dr. Mahatha’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (UNCC), a Master of Human Resource Development with a concentration in Adult Learning and Instructional Design (Clemson University), and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership (Regent University). He also holds a Professional Certification in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University.
