My USC SOMG

PeopleSoft Rollout

What is PeopleSoft?
The PeopleSoft Human Resources/Payroll project is a new system that will replace the outdated administrative tool currently in use, giving functionality that better meets our business needs. It will improve processes in HR, payroll, benefits, time and labor, absence management, and self service for employees and managers. UofSC is working with our partner, IBM, to implement the new system.

Rollout
Effective April 1, managers will now be able to initiate many activities such as job changes, status changes, additional pay and account changes. Managers will be able to view direct reports, their department info, job title, pay, history, email, phone and indirect reports. Employees will also gain access and update their personal profiles, own personal information (address, contact info, emergency contac,t etc.), review benefits information, view your paycheck, request electronic W-2s, set up multiple direct-deposit accounts for their pay, consent to receive Form 1095-C electronically (employer-provided health insurance offer and coverage information), review your job data, review paid leave and absences and more.

As we roll toward go-live on April 1, a website has been created to share information and resources with you: sc.edu/hrpayrollproject. The site is stocked with tip sheets, job aids, recorded webinars, eLearning resources and more. We are hoping you will use these tools to power your own learning about the system and to communicate with co-workers and power their learning.

The Change Agents have been among the first to get updates for sharing and discussing with their colleagues. They have participated in regular calls to hear directly from project team members, to get answers to newly raised questions, and to provide feedback and suggestions. They will serve as informed advocates and educators, learning the system, then providing support on the job.

If you have any questions, we will have Change Agents available in your areas:

  • Rachel Andes
  • April Brown
  • Anne Green Buckner
  • Renee Chosed
  • Shannon Ellis
  • Claire Gregg
  • Eric Gregg
  • Gail Hardaway
  • Stacy James
  • Nicky Senn
  • Lynn Shiflet
  • Min Zhang

If you have questions, please share them with your change agents and we will make sure they are addressed. In the meantime, feel free to review the PeopleSoft FAQs.

Important Dates:
March 22: All supervisors that oversee USCSOMG personnel will be trained and receive their login information.
March 27: Webinar Q&A made available to all employees
April 1: Go Live

We are here to support you during this transition so please outreach as questions arise or assistance is needed.
