A transcript request is processed 2-3 days after receipt. If you have a financial
obligation to the university, a transcript will not be released.
Before You Order a Transcript
Follow the simple steps in this preorder checklist to make sure the process runs as smoothly as possible.
- Confirm that all grades and degrees have been posted to your record.
- Check the accuracy of your name. Complete a Name Change Request [pdf] if your name is incorrect.
- Confirm that you have no outstanding financial obligations to the university.
- Verify the accuracy of the recipient’s email address or mailing address.
Ordering a Transcript
If you’d like an official transcript, you can order one online. The university does not accept faxed or emailed transcript requests.
Students Who Attended Fall 2013 and Later
If you are a student who began Fall 2013 or later, you can order a transcript using Self Service Carolina.
Students Who Attended Before Fall 2013
If you were a student earlier than Fall 2013, your transcript is available through Parchment Ordering Services.
Processing and Shipping
Transcripts can be resent to the same address if not received after 15 days of shipping and up to 30 days from the initial shipping date.
To request a transcript via Parchment Ordering Services with expedited shipping, you must upload a pre-paid FedEx® shipping label printed online from FedEx. The registrar's office cannot charge your credit card or your FedEx account number for expedited shipping. See FedEx delivery options.
If you come to the registrar’s office in person to request a transcript, you can add
expedited shipping by bringing a pre-paid FedEx® shipping label. Requests received in the registrar’s office after 12:00 p.m. will be processed the
next business day.
Transcripts are mailed as first class international mail. There could be extended delays in receiving your transcript in some locations. In time sensitive situations, expedited shipment through FedEx is recommended. See instructions above for expedited shipping.
