Carolina Core Committee and Specialty Team Chairs
The General Education Committee was convened in 2008 to provide oversight and guidance of the General Education program including but not limited to revision of the curriculum.
Now known as the Carolina Core Committee, membership includes faculty from across all colleges and schools with undergraduate programs, as well as representatives from the Regional campuses and from the Division of Student Affairs and the Department of Academic Support.
The Specialty Teams in each learning outcome area review course proposals. A content expert and representatives from other colleges serve on these teams to ensure that both core competency in the discipline area as well as applicability for all students are reviewed.
