Spring Initiation 2008

Spring initation of new members took place on 12 April 2008 in the Russell House Ballroom. Dr. Joseph Gibbons delivered the address.

Annual Meeting

The annual meeting will take place at 2:00pm on Wednesday, 20 February 2008 in the Rare Book Room of Thomas Cooper Library. Following the meeting, Duncan Buell of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering will deliver the lecture. His lecture, "Unsafe for any ballot count," will cover electronic voting machines, South Carolina's use of such machines, and the more general public policy debate about the use of technology in the elections process. Dr. Buell has been serving as an advisor to the League of Women Voters of South Carolina on voting machine technology for three years, and background material for his presentation can be found on the League website under Voting Machine Technology.
