1. University Forum on Faculty Manual Revisions: 2/25, 4pm
   The Faculty Advisory Committee will be hosting a University Forum to discuss proposed changes to the USC Columbia Faculty Manual regarding tenure and promotion.
2. New Deadlines Announced for Textbook Orders
   The Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) requires the posting of textbook information and prices for students prior to registration. New textbook order deadlines for the academic year are outlined in the attached handout.
3. 2009-2010 Faculty Awards Process
   The Office of the Provost is pleased to announce the 2009-2010 Faculty Awards Nomination and Review Process. Nomination and application deadlines vary by award; information and the PDF nomination form is available online.
4. New Grant Programs
   The Office of Provost is sponsoring two new pilot programs to support faculty development through scholarship and creative achievement in the Arts, Humanities and the Social Sciences.
5. Provost Visits to Departments, Colleges, and Schools Scheduled
   Provost Michael Amiridis will meet with faculty and students in each academic unit on the Columbia and Regional campuses, including the School of Medicine, over the fall and spring semesters.
