  Women's Issues (PACWI)
Mission The Provost’s Advisory Committee on Women’s Issues (PACWI) serves as an advocate for women faculty, staff, and students at the University of South Carolina (USC Columbia and Regional  campuses ) in order to:
  • Assess current policies;
  • Recommend new policies and procedures;
  • Focus on areas that need improvement; and
  • Provide opportunities to enhance the quality of the USC campus community.

Microsoft Excel Basics

Monday, April 15th, 2013 12:30 – 1:30 PM
Thomas Cooper Library, Level 3, Multimedia Classroom
Presenters: Sherry Grosso and Dr. Aisha Haynes

Microsoft Excel is an electronic spreadsheet program from the Microsoft Office Suite.  After completing this Excel basics hands-on training, you will be able to create a workbook, format cells, insert columns and rows, create formulas using cell references, use functions (e.g. sum, average, minimum and maximum), sort and filter data, and print worksheets.  Additionally, you will be able to apply some basic Excel applications (i.e. create grading schemes).

Microsoft Excel is an electronic spreadsheet program from the Microsoft Office Suite.  After completing this Excel intermediate hands-on training, you will be able to create graphs and charts, print graphs and charts, create and manage multiple worksheets in a workbook, and use advanced functions and data manipulations.  Additionally, you will able to apply some advanced Excel applications (i.e. what-if analysis and financial analysis).

PowerPoint Basics

PowerPoint is a powerful presentation application from the Microsoft Office Suite. After completing this PowerPoint basics hands-on training, you will be able to insert slides, add content to slides, apply a theme and a layout, insert clip art and images, add text boxes, insert animations, and view a slideshow. You will also be introduced to PowerPoint best practices.
