Tenure and Promotion Review

Faculty members hired after 1995 are reviewed for tenure and promotion using the Unit Criteria in place at the time of their hiring. For all subsequent promotions, the faculty member shall be responsible for meeting unit criteria and university standards in effect at the time of their application for that promotion. Faculty members hired before January 1, 1995 may choose either the criteria in effect at the time of their hiring or the criteria in effect at the time of their application for promotion.

Post-Tenure Review

In compliance with the post-tenure review policy passed by the General Faculty in the Spring of 1998, all tenure and promotion units have developed a process and procedures for post-tenure review with final approval by the Provost.
