Brisbane is one of Australia's most affordable capital cities, catering for a diverse range of lifestyles and can easily be enjoyed even on a student budget. Living costs will vary depending on the type of accommodation you choose, the number of people you live with, and the area you live in.  QUT recommends budgeting approximately AUD$2,500 during your first few weeks to get yourself set up. After that, they recommend budgeting approximately $500 a week for rent, food, transport, utility bills and entertainment. You should estimate a minimum of AUD$6000 for essential living expenses per semester.

Students must enroll in a minimum of 48 credits (12 U.S. credits) per semester. Most courses are worth 12 credits. You can search QUT's website for subjects offered during your time abroad.  Semester 1 at QUT is the equivalent of UofSC's Spring semester, while Semester 2 is the equivalent of Fall semester.
