Exchange students are also connected with a "buddy" who serves as a mentor throughout the first semester. All international students are invited to arrive to Tilburg during the official Arrival Days. During these days students will be picked up at the train station and brought to Tilburg University where they will be greeted by their exchange coordinator.
Exchange students who are US citizens do not need a visa to enter the Netherlands, but they will need to apply for a residence permit in order to reside in the Netherlands. Tilburg will help you apply for this permit which costs approximately €250.
