We want students to know that research is for all majors, all years and all campuses. Through research, you can get hands on experience, work closely with a faculty mentor and have fun asking questions and finding answers. We are happy to share this message with your class, student organization, residence hall or other group.

OUR Presentations

The Magellan Ambassadors can present to your group about how undergraduate students get involved in research. Our presentations fit within a variety of formats, including a 45-minute talk, tabling events and socials.

We kindly ask for a minimum two-week notice for all presentation requests.

Presentation Options

This 45-minute presentation aims to have students come away with an idea about what research looks like, the benefits of participating in research, how to get started and the resources available to them through the Office of Undergraduate Research.

Have a limited amount of time, but still want your students to know about research? We can share with them the benefits of participating in research and how to get started. In the “Additional Information” box below, let us know how much time you have and any specific topics you would like covered.

This one-hour interactive workshop is designed to get students started on their research paths. Students will brainstorm potential research interests, search the faculty database and draft emails to send to faculty requesting meetings.

Undergraduate Research
