Palmetto College iCarolina Labs

The USC Palmetto College iCarolina Lab Network bridges the digital divide for South Carolina communities by providing access, as well as FREE training for software and certification to residents who might have limited or no access. The network is comprised of a central hub and satellite labs at several regional USC Palmetto College campus locations, including USC Lancaster (Lancaster and Kershaw), USC Salkehatchie (Allendale and Walterboro), USC Sumter and USC Union (Union, Laurens and Clinton). The regional Palmetto College campuses are all located within 15 miles or less of a broadband desert, according to the South Carolina Broadband Map, providing reliable technology and internet access to these communities.

Announcing Free Summer Camps for Kids

The USC Salkhatchie and USC Sumter campuses are offering free summer camps for kids in select weeks during June and July. At USC Salkehatchie - Allendale, the lab will be presenting, Let's Go to Hollywood, a camp about using Apple innovative technology to create movies, music and more. At USC Salkehatchie - Walterboro, the lab will be presenting, Let's Code. This summer camp will cover fundamentals of coding using JavaScript in code block format. At USC Sumter, the lab will be presenting Designing Hollywood, a camp that would teach the fundementals of digital design which will be used to create a movie poster. Each camp has a limited capacity, so register soon!
