Departmental Awards
This award provides financial support for travel to professional conferences, with one $450 award granted to an undergraduate student and one to a graduate student each academic year. The goal is to help students engage with their academic and professional communities, present their work, and enhance their career development through conference participation.
This award provides financial support for travel and other research-related expenses (excluding salary) to deserving undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Anthropology who are actively participating in a faculty-led archaeological research project.
The Department of Anthropology awards the Outstanding Anthropology Student Award to a senior Anthropology major. The award includes a cash prize of $100. All departmental faculty will decide together on which student will be given the award. Areas of candidacy consideration may include, but are not limited to, academic success, anthropology- related non-academic work, and participation in anthropology-related organizations (e.g., Anthropology Student Association). There is no nomination or application process outside of the faculty's discussion(s) about candidates.

This grant provides up to $2,500 for faculty-mentored research, scholarly, and creative projects across all campuses and disciplines for students with a minimum 3.2 GPA, covering salary, materials, and travel.
