Magellan Scholar Grant
Up to $2,500 available to students working with a mentor on any scholarly, research, or creative project
This scholarship will be awarded by the Department of Anthropology’s Undergraduate Committee to a student submitting a short personal statement exploring the ways in which they are engaging with Archaeology and Anthropology outside of the classroom. This award is currently inactive.
This scholarship will be awarded by the Department of Anthropology's Undergraduate Committee to a student submitting a short essay exploring why they chose to major or minor in Anthropology and what the field means to them.
The Department of Anthropology awards the Outstanding Anthropology Student Award to a senior Anthropology major. The award includes a cash prize of $100. All departmental faculty will decide together on which student will be given the award. Areas of candidacy consideration may include, but are not limited to, academic success, anthropology- related non-academic work, and participation in anthropology-related organizations (e.g., Anthropology Student Association). There is no nomination or application process outside of the faculty's discussion(s) about candidates.

Up to $1,000 for students working under the guidance of a USC faculty, staff or community member on any scholarly, research, or creative project
Up to $500 for students to travel and share their research at events through activities such as poster sessions, presentations, performances, and screenings at conferences, meetings symposiums, or other professional gatherings.
No mentor or project needed to apply; awardees will work under the guidance of a USC faculty mentor.
Up to $1,500 for Capstone Scholars and Capstone Fellows working under the guidance of a USC faculty, staff or community member on any scholarly, research, or creative project
Up to $1,000 for current and former Preston residents working under the guidance of a USC faculty, staff, or community member on any scholarly, research, or creative project
Up to $1,000 for Galen Health Fellows pursuing research, scholarly, and creative activities with a health focus
Up to $2,000 for students to support any scholarly, research, or creative project
Up to $1,000 for Global Fellows working under the guidance of a USC faculty, staff, or community member on any scholarly, research, or creative project
Up to $1,000 for Rhodos Fellows pursuing creative, scholarly, and research activities related to the Rhodos mission in information, design, and computing
Up to $1,000 for Green Quad researchers working under the guidance of a USC faculty, staff, or community member on a scholarly, research, or creative project focusing on a sustainable topic or issue
