Congratulations to Dr. Tammi Richardson on her latest  SC Sea Grant Consortium/NOAA award! This award is for Dr. Richardson's two year project "Enhancing Scientific Literacy and Workforce Development via Participatory Science-Based Water Quality Monitoring in Coastal South Carolina". 

This project will establish a community-led water quality monitoring and workforce development program that equips rural coastal SC residents with the tools, training, and support needed to monitor local water quality, promote environmental stewardship, and build pathways to STEM careers. 

The project will be led by Tammi Richardson (BIOL and the SEOE), and Lori Pennington-Gray (HRSM). Taking place from 1 Sept 2026 to 31 August 2028 (2 years)
