USC Region II Science and Engineering Fair

The USC Region II Science and Engineering Fair is a yearly, regional fair. It is open to students from 4th to 12th grades from the following counties: Calhoun, Clarendon, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lexington, Newberry, Orangeburg, Richland, and Sumter. Around 50 schools from those counties send an average of 500 students to participate in the fair every year.

Since its inception in 1957, the mission of the fair has been to motivate young students to follow careers in science and engineering by developing the discipline and skills needed in those careers.
