Clyde LeMoine has Been Awarded the DAAD Study Scholarship!

 

Congratulations Clyde! The German counterpart to the Fulbright, the DAAD Study Scholarship provides a monthly stipend and travel subsidies to study in Germany. Clyde either intends to study at the Ludwig Maximillian University of Munich's Master's Program in Logic and Philosophy of Science or Ruhr-University Bochum's Master's Program in Cognitive Science.

Clyde is a senior majoring in Philosophy with a minor in Linguistics. He was just recently awarded the Josiah Morse Award by the department. Clyde is currently working on a project with Dr. Anne Bezuidenhout in Pragmatics and Psycholinguistics investigating the relationship between irony and its speech acts. He is also currently completing a senior thesis under the advisement of Dr. Brett Sherman analyzing the meaning of signs like the OK hand gesture used by hateful communities online.
