Komolafe, a graduate student at the university, was invited to a panel by the Museum of African Diaspora to discuss an award-winning film. The film, by Alain Kassanda, featured a film club Komolafe helped coordinate in Nigera. The film was part of the 2023 African Studies Association Conference and highlighted the 2020 protest (End SARS) against police brutality in Nigeria.
