Career Resources for Students

The Office of Corporate Engagement at the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management connects students with career-related campus resources and provides experiential learning opportunities to build relationships with top employers.

Handshake

Handshake is the university's official job posting and search platform. It is a great place for USC students to find jobs and internships with hundreds of employers. All students are encouraged to complete a profile on Handshake.

Completing a short interest survey helps students get discovered by employers who are looking for candidates with specific skills and experience.

Once students have created a profile, they can use Handshake to search for jobs, networking events and career fairs. You can easily save your search and favorite employers to quickly find new job postings that meet your search criteria. You will be notified when your favorite employers post jobs or events that may be of interest to you.

Many recruiters post tips on how to maximize your Handshake experience. Additional recruiter tips can be found here.

Experience Expo

The College of HRSM Experience Expo is held each semester and gives students the opportunity to meet with employers and explore opportunities to gain international and on-campus experience through study abroad and student organizations. This valuable career fair is designed specifically for HRSM students. Learn more about the upcoming Experience Expo.

HRSM Career Coach

Jessica Gibson is available to help HRSM students with questions about  resumes, interview preparation and the internship and job search. For help with your resume, email it to careerhelp@mailbox.sc.edu to receive feedback Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
