College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management

Opportunity and Engagement

Strengthening the college’s culture of consciousness serves as the foundation for advancing programs, practices, policies and partnerships that enhance our learning and working environment for all. These initiatives include leadership development and representation, mentorship, recruitment efforts, and scholarships that improve access to enrichment opportunities.

The college's opportunity and engagement efforts support a broad range of underrepresented individuals, including people from different racial, ethnic and gender groups, people with disabilities, nontraditional students, the LGBTQ community, and students from different socioeconomic backgrounds.

Below are  some of the resources and information from the university and college.

While our ultimate goal is a unified and inclusive campus environment, incidents of bias and hate do occur. Report incidents of bias or hate here.

Support Opportunity and Engagement at HRSM

Gifts of all sizes have a collective impact and support opportunities for underrepresented populations, including scholarships, internship opportunities, mentorship and professional development programming. Your gift allows us to live the Carolinian Creed more fully.

Carolina Creed

As a Carolinian ...

I will practice personal and academic integrity;

I will respect the dignity of all persons;

I will respect the rights and property of others;

I will discourage bigotry, while striving to learn from differences in people, ideas and opinions;

I will demonstrate concern for others, their feelings, and their need for the conditions which support their work and development.
