Aphasic Drama Group presents 'Don't have a Stroke on a Friday Night' on May 6

'Don't have a Stroke on a Friday Night' is a play developed with three community members who have Aphasia resulting from stroke, as well as students from the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, the Department of Theatre and Dance, and the Linguistics Program. The text originates from interviews and scenes developed during the course of weekly theatre workshops. The play highlights the actors' experiences with stroke, strength and resiliency. It also reveals how quickly our lives can change and how quickly we can feel marginalized. We'd like to thank South Carolina Humanities for their support. Please come for a fascinating and humanizing evening of theatre.

The play was produced by Play On Words: An Aphasic Drama Group. See poster [pdf]
