Patrick Flynn is the new Student Life communications and events director. In this role, Flynn is responsible for promoting the Department of Student Life through communications and marketing, planning and implementing major events, managing the department’s emergency communication planning and overseeing the student ticketing office.
Flynn joined Student Life in 2016 as the manager of student tickets and recently took on additional duties as interim director of communications and marketing. As student ticketing manager, he led the transition to mobile tickets, created the ticketing process for commencement and led marketing and ticketing efforts for special events including a Darius Rucker student concert and Cockstock. Prior to joining Student Life Student Life, Flynn worked in marketing and ticketing with the Department of Athletics and Colonial Life Arena.
He earned a master’s degree in sport and entertainment management and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from South Carolina.
