Gamecock Rowing Club

What to Expect

The Gamecock Rowing Club practices six days a week, both in the gym and at the Broad River. There are typically 2 to 4 regattas scheduled each fall and spring season; these competitions always take place throughout a weekend and often involve travel requiring overnight stays. As intercollegiate athletes, rowers compete against collegiate and club teams from all over the southeast region and, in some cases, teams from all over the United States. The Gamecock Rowing Club includes both a men's team and a women's team, as well as varsity and novice athletes.

Registered Student Organization (RSO): student organizations that are independent legal entities from the University, have no delegated authority from the University, and do not perform functions on behalf of the university.
