Waverly After School Program

What to Expect

Waverly is an afterschool education and enrichment program for underserved students in the Columbia community. Our mission is to enhance the lives and opportunities of children in the Columbia community; to serve as educational role models who provide a fun, safe, and caring experience; and to develop the self-esteem and literacy skills of all children who participate and help them realize that they can succeed despite the challenges they face. We accomplish our mission in part through providing tutoring and mentoring across many age groups. While the organization was created by the USC Honors College in 2003, our organization is open to anyone here at USC! If you are looking to make a lasting impact on the youth of Columbia, this is a great way to get involved on campus.

Associated Student Organization (ASO): student organizations to which the University has delegated certain limited authority to perform specific tasks aligned with the University's mission. These groups are required to maintain a University Advisor who is acting within the context of their university employment.
