International Studies major Catherine Goodwin has been selected as a Spring 2019 Magellan Scholar. The Magellan Scholars program---funded through the USC Office of Undergraduate Research---is a competitive program that is open to students across all USC campuses and academic disciplines. The program provides grant-style funding for undergraduate research projects. Catherine is just the seventh student in the Department of Political Science to be selected as a Magellan Scholar since 2013. Catherine’s research (supervised by Drs. Tobias Heinrich and Katelyn Stauffer) will use experiments to determine how gender and partisan cues influence public opinion towards foreign aid policies.
