Judit Trunkos compares soft power between the United States, China, and Russia

Dr. Judit Trunkos' manuscript titled "Comparing Russian, Chinese and American Soft Power Use: A New Approach" was published in The Global Society. The article compares three major powers' soft power use and tests three hypotheses regarding the listed countries' economic and military soft power uses for the time period of 1995-2010. The findings indicate that surprisingly the US is still using more soft power than Russia and China. The data analysis also reveals that the US is leading in economic soft power actions over China and in military soft power actions over Russia as well. Dr. Trunkos got her PhD from the University of South Carolina in 2020.
