Yu-Hsien Sung was recently awarded a Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant (DDRIG) and funding from the Warren E. Miller Fund in Electoral Politics. The DDRIG is funded by National Science Foundation (NSF) and administered by American Political Science Association (APSA); the Warren E. Miller Fund is supported by APSA Centennial Center. Both the DDRIG and Centennial Center provide support to enhance and improve research in political science. With the support, Yu-Hsien will deploy surveys and collect data about voters’ and elites’ policy preferences for her project. Her dissertation, titled "Prosecutorial discretion: district attorneys, public opinion, and localized rule of law", addresses questions on discretionary decisions and legal practice. Her dissertation is supervised by Dr. Brad Epperly, Dr. Kirk Randazzo, Dr. Tobias Heinrich, and Dr. Doug Thompson.
