Women’s and Gender Studies Program

Volunteer with WWBI

The Women’s Well-Being Initiative is dedicated to advancing the comfort, welfare, and success of women and children across the Midlands. We do this by providing quality arts and engagement experiences that enhance social and community development and cultivate lifelong enrichment opportunities for all ages on a year-round basis.

The successful operation of our program also relies on the dedicated work of undergraduate and graduate volunteers from UofSC who provide year-round support to WWBI and its programs. Volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to:

  • Arts and Digital Media workshops
  • The annual art show at Stormwater Studios
  • Evening art classes at Hannah House
  • Community Advisory Board meetings
  • Our showcase at Discovery Day

If you would like to join our team and support your local community, you may fill out the form on this page. We accept from volunteers from all backgrounds and with a diverse set of skills and interests. For further inquiries about the nature of our volunteer opportunities, you may email our program director, Dr. Olga Ivashkevich, at
