Student Affairs

Our student affairs team is ready and willing to answer any questions you have and to help you get settled in your new life as a law student.

Access Lex has launched its latest tool, AccessLex Law School Scholarship Databank, which houses a searchable collection of nearly 800 scholarships and writing competitions for law students.

The law school supports over 30 law school student organizations. A list of active law school student organizations can be found here. To help support and help guide law school student organizations, the Law School Student Organization Handbook is published on TWEN in the Student Organization Resource course. All students enrolled in the law school have access to TWEN. To view the page, please click here (log-in required).

The Law School Student Organization Handbooks provides guidance to law students on the following topics:

  • Student Organization Requirements
  • Annual Renewal Process & Leadership Transition
  • Inactive Student Organization
  • Starting a New Student Organization
  • Student Organization Event Policies & Procedures
  • Student Organization Funding
  • Student Organization Recruitment, Promotion, and Publicity

In addition to the Law School Student Organization Handbooks, students can also find important student organization resources.

If you have any questions, need any additional information on law school student organizations, or are unable to access TWEN, please contact the Office of Student Affairs at the Joseph F. Rice School of Law at STUAFF@law.sc.edu.
