Nominate outstanding Arnold School graduates for one of two 2021 Arnold School alumni awards

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2021 Arnold Alumni Awards. These awards are the highest honors bestowed upon the Arnold School of Public Health’s most distinguished alumni for their outstanding achievement, dedication and/or service in the field of public health and include a $2,500 cash award.

A nomination form for the Norman J. Arnold Medal and the Gerry Sue Arnold Alumni Award is available to download. This form should be accompanied by a letter of support from the nominator outlining the merit and achievements of the nominee. You will need Adobe Reader to fill out this form. The Arnold Alumni Awards are presented annually in honor of the Arnolds who made a transformational gift in 2000 to endow the University of South Carolina’s School of Public Health, which now bears their name.

The Gerry Sue Arnold Alumni Award is open to all alumni who graduated within the past 10 years (2011 or later). Alumni whose work has both made a difference to the profession and in the health of an identified community or population are eligible for this award.

The Norman J. Arnold Alumni Medal is open to all alumni who graduated more than 10 years ago (prior to 2011).
