LESLIE DENNIS

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, CJI
Leslie Dennis is the Scholastic Press Manager for the South Carolina
Scholastic Press Association and the Southern Interscholastic Press
Association and the Assistant Director of the Carolina Journalism
Institute.
She graduated in August 2007 from the University
of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a creative
writing concentration. She has worked as an undergraduate assistant
in the Scholastic Organizations for the past three years.
Originally from Elgin, S.C., she attended Lugoff-Elgin
High School and was editor-in-chief of the Pitchfork newspaper.
In 2003, Dennis was recognized as the S.C. Scholastic Journalist
of the year and was a finalist for the Ernest Hemingway Writing
Award for High School Journalist. |
