At
universities we talk often about development, advancement,
fund raising or friend raising. What we’re really talking about is money. A university runs on state allocations, tuition, grants and gifts. Those state allocations are shrinking, tuition increases have their limits and competition for grants is intense. We’d like to think the generosity of our alumni, friends and professional colleagues is limitless. We know it’s
not. So we have to prove the worthiness of our cause.
The College of Mass Communications and Information Studies is growing—in numbers, scope and ambition. We want to do more. We can, with your help. Consider the opportunities you can create with your gifts to the college. Here are a few that are important to us. You undoubtedly have other worthy and intriguing ideas. Tell us about them. Let us tell you about our ideas.
