Richard Amme

Rick Amme heads
the crisis and media relations firm… Amme & Associates.
For 13 years Rick has consulted and coached executives at Fortune
500 companies and institutions throughout the country on crisis
leadership. He speaks nationwide about the topic with federal government
agencies being frequent audiences.
He has handled plant fires,
closings and layoffs, accidental deaths, embezzlements, product recalls, medical
mistakes, environmental controversies, fights with unions, lawsuits, and he
even helped a board of directors throw out an entire top management team.
His more than 100 clients have
included Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, BB&T, R. J. Reynolds, Sara Lee Corporation,
La-Z-Boy, Adventist Health System, as well as a number colleges and universities.
While he mostly handles critical issues, he has also worked with former national
football stars John Elway, Joe Theismann, and Tony Dorsett and a few celebrities
including Dr. Ruth and Joy Behar. (STAR magazine even called him for
advice for Paris Hilton.)
A member of the editorial
board of contributors for a Business Journal, Rick has written
almost 200 columns on
corporate communications that are read widely on his website.
Rick logged more than two
decades as a journalist. He is a former U.S. Navy Officer with
degrees from the University of South Carolina in journalism (1996)
and psychology (1971).
