Introduced in 2012, Gamecock Gateway is a residential bridge program working to offer South Carolina residents an alternative pathway to full enrollment at the University of South Carolina. By partnering with USC's largest transfer institution, Midlands Technical College, students have access to resources on both campuses and the opportunity to work towards one of USC's 83 undergraduate degrees. 

 

Goals of Gamecock Gateway 

1. Successfully transfer students from Midlands Technical College to the University of South Carolina in one academic year. 
2. Serve our diverse student population in their transition to and within college.
3. Provide academic support to assist students in their coursework and successful completion of the program.
4. Provide meaningful opportunities for students to connect with their peers, faculty, staff, and resources at both institutions.
5. Provide opportunities that help former Gamecock Gateway students now enrolled at the university graduate from the institution.
