Incoming students cannot register until July 14, 2024 - this is 30 days before the start date on your I-20 and your earliest day of arrival. Anyone entering the U.S. before July 14 is not entering on the F-1 visa and therefore cannot enroll in classes.
- Check Self Service Carolina to make sure your citizenship verification, immunization, and advisement holds are all lifted. If you have outstanding admission requirements or other issues, you may have additional holds that need to be addressed.
- Meet with your academic advisor. If you are an undergraduate student, this will likely happen during New Student Orientation. If you are a graduate student, you should contact your program director. If you need additional assistance, reach out to your academic department.
- Once you have checked your holds and been advised, you can register! For details on how to register for classes, see the University Registrar's Website or review the video posted in the New International Student Info Blackboard Course.
