Ahead of Valentine's Day this year, the USC Students team reached out to students asking them to write letters to USC and all the people and places on campus that have made it special. Here are just some of our favorites:
To USC
Dear USC, I am glad I transferred to you after earning my associates degree from your
2 yr branch school, USC Sumter. I have received excellent advice from your career
center and tutoring help from your success center in the Thomas Cooper Library. I
have enjoyed getting free stuff like cookies, coffee, donuts, and more from your organizations
around campus. For these reasons, I will probably miss you when I graduate this spring.
My experience here learning at your campus has been stressful but has greatly helped
prepare me for the future. Thanks USC for helping me reach my academic & future goals!

Dear Cocky, Your positive energy is simply unmatched! Anytime I see you at an event
I’m instantly made happier because your positive attitude is contagious! I know it’s
going to be a good day, win or lose, when you’re around because nothing can bring
you down!! Thank you for being such a good friend and lifting us up when we’re down
or celebrating with us when we’re up!! We love you Cocky!

USC has been such a blessing for me. I’ve met my best friends, grown as a person
into someone I only dreamed of becoming, and learned so much more about what interests
me. My professors are so kind and knowledgeable and I know USC is my home forever.

To your colleges and schools
I wanted to express my gratitude for the Grad School and to the great people at the
College of Information and Communications. I'll be graduating in May, and I have had
so much help from my advisor, Sam Beals, who is the Graduate Student Services Manager.
Navigating grad courses and plans is not always easy, but they have always been happy
to answer all of my questions!
– Alexis Watts, master's in data and communication student
Dear Office of Exploratory Advising,
Thank you for giving me a full academic year to explore my major options! This was
a really important part of why I came to USC and why I choose to stay. I don't think
I would be as confident in my current degree path if I hadn't taken a bunch of classes
in different subjects to experiment a little bit. Going into college undeclared was
one of the best decisions I've ever made!

To your organizations
I love USC Dance Marathon! This organization has been there for me through everything.
The love and passion that everyone in the organization has is so pure! FTTK

I want to shout out the USC Marketing and Communications team. Working as a student
intern with them for over a year now (wow!) has been such a great experience. The
team is so supportive and I've grown so much as a professional and person working
with my team. I love sharing the stories of my fellow Gamecocks finding success at
USC, professionally and personally.

Dear Greek Life,
Thank you for helping me find my best friends and roommates! My college experience
would not be the same without you and I'm so grateful for the amazing experiences
I've had in my sorority so far!!
